Event Support/Janitor/Maintenance Person

Wage: $15.00/hr

General Duties and responsibilities:

1. This person works directly under the supervision of the Events Coordinator.

2. Janitorial duties include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning and stocking restrooms and other general janitorial duties in City owned buildings as directed.

3. Provide operational support for events and activities as directed by the Events Coordinator.  Duties include but are not limited to setting up and taking down tables, chairs, tents, canopies, lights, sound equipment, etc.

4. Provide operational support and cleaning as required by recreational programs sponsored by Parowan City.

5. Must be able to perform minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs; painting, drywall repair, and other building maintenance and repair as required.  Must notify supervisor of any major repairs needed.

6. Must be able to keep and maintain maintenance logs and reports on activities as needed.  Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma

2. At least 3 years of related experience or combination of education and experience. 

3. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and drywall repair. 

4. Must have a current Utah Driver's license. 

5. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds. 

6. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as required.

This is a part-time, 24 hours per week position.  No benefits are associated with this position.
