Animal Control
Parowan Animal Control is a part of the Parowan Police Department. According to regulations each home is allowed no more than three dogs and they must be registered with the City. A neutered pet costs $5 until April then $10 and a non neutered pet is $25 until April then $50. To obtain a license proof of rabies inoculation is required. A leash law is also enforced.
Stray animals are collected by the Police Department and taken to the Parowan Animal Shelter north of the Airport. Pets must be claimed by their owners and a fine paid for the stray pet.
