Parowan Heritage Foundation
A non-profit 501(c) 3 organization, whose mission is to preserve, interpret, and
develop the historical assets of the Parowan area, and provide education about the
history of the area. The Parowan Heritage Foundation has been responsible for developing
the Parowan Heritage Park, partnering with others to develop the Dr. Meeks Pioneer
Farmstead, Urban Fishery and Outdoor Learning Center, assisted with the restoration
of the Parowan Community Theatre, hosts the annual Summer Solstice event at the Parowan
Gap, gives guided tours at Parowan?s historical cemetery, Jesse N. Smith Home museum,
Parowan Heritage Park, Dr. Meeks Cabin, Parowan Gap and other historical site; and
they produce historical brochures and fund raising items. The board of directors
meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month.
