Parowan City Corporation is seeking two (2) law enforcement officers. Certification preferred, but not required. Must be able to complete the Police Officers Standards and Training Academy (P.O.S.T.). This position will remain open until filled. Applicants will be considered for hire upon receipt of their application.
Job Description: Under general supervision, performs professional duties in enforcing federal, state and local laws to preserve the peace, and protect the rights and property of all people. Performs related responsibilities as required.
Supervision Received:
Works under the general supervision of the Police Chief or Lieutenant.
Qualifications:
1. Education and Experience: Graduation from high school. Must be able to successfully complete the Police Officers Standards and Training Academy (P.O.S.T.). No experience required.
2. Must be able to meet physical requirements established by the Police Department.
3. Must be clear of a prior criminal record.
4. Must possess a valid Utah State Driver’s License.
5. Must maintain firearm proficiency
6. Must maintain law enforcement certification by completing annual training requirements (40 hours).
Benefits include:
Wage: $25.00 - $31.00/hour depending on experience
