Power Cost Adjustment (PCA)

Recent volatility in the wholesale power market is causing Parowan City's power purchase costs to increase significantly. Therefore, it is imperative that Parowan City start a Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) starting on April's power bill, which you will receive this month (May). The fee of $.04 per kwh will be applied to all energy use by residential and commercial customers.

Parowan City realizes the impact this has on our citizens and assure you we are doing everything we can to keep our power costs down. Some things that can you can do to help offset your power bill:

• Adjusting thermostat temperature in summer a few degrees can lower your monthly bill.
• Newer appliances are more efficient.
• Installing LED lights Proper insulation and updated windows may also help reduce costs.
• Unplug appliances when not in use Working together as a City, we can get through this volatile power situation.
